Position Summary: The Planetarium Educator is responsible for setting up and presenting pre-recorded programs as well as presenting "live" astronomy lectures to the public.
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: One year of experience in conducting lectures to the public or to an audience required.
Qualification Equivalencies: No equivalencies.
Desired Qualifications Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills, supplemented by a working knowledge of astronomy is preferred, but not required.
Good computer skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Special Instructions to Applicants Incumbent must be available to work evening and weekend hours.
