As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for the following:
Product Pricing:
Administers appropriate product pricing for Valvoline International's U.S. export business with affiliates, joint ventures and distributors. Requires maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer price lists. Issues the appropriate price lists to the proper internal users. Requires product pricing setup and changes through Master Data group and other costing systems (ASIS in Mexico).
Cost Analysis:
Monitors costs and profit margins for product lines and/or customers. Assess need for pricing actions based on pre-determined ranges of profitability. Requires maintaining cost files, pricing structures and special quotes. Evaluate and analyze data for individual customers and/or products to estimate how changes to sales mix, volume, price, promotions and costs affect gross profit.
Business Management and Reporting:
Develops needed supplementary review tools for on-going business management and control purposes. For example, prepares management information such as SAP/BW reports, and other special financial reports for use by management in key business decisions. Proactively works with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting with minimal surprises.
Special Projects:
Performs special assignments as required by management which can cover a wide variety of responsibilities and can involve coordination of other personnel and resources.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science (BS) ; BS degree with focus on business, accounting, math or science
· 2 years of work experience
· General business knowledge and understanding of basic financial statements and accounting
Detail oriented
· Proficient in Excel, SAP and Business Warehouse highly desired
· Self-motivated, independent thinker, possess communication skills necessary to relate matters of importance
· Ability to work independently, resolve issues amicably, work in close proximity with others and promote harmonious cooperative relationships
· Applicant must be authorized to work in the US
